Bicker this, bicker that. Put your scrawny ass in drivers seat. Little asian foot on the gas pedal. If the pretty car crosses the line first, kudos for Z owners everywhere. Fucking whiners, I swear. If you are sick of supra bullshit, MAKE YOUR Z FASTER. How many BPU supra's do you think will be talking shit to the likes of Mal1ce, Badzcar, mikeh, gyro, yadda, yadda. Those of you that get no respect because you're either 1> Delusional thinking your stg 1 NA is going to spank anything on the street or 2> Expecting a sports car with $1K in mods to outperform supercars, newer technology, etc, etc. In my experience the best way to squelch 'hype' or 'bullshit' is to do it bigger, better, faster. V vs. Inline has been argued a hundred times. Single vs. twin has been argued plenty of times. blah, blah blah. I've even written some things on it. FACTS: 2 cams, 2 heads etc in the inline motor IS less rotational friction on the motor. You have twice the leeway on turbo matching on single vs. twin - (going up one size in turbo on our cars increases the turbo size vs. 1.5L of displacement. going up one size single on a supra is one turbo size vs. 3L of displacement) positives: The distance from the fresh coolant to the back of the motor is significantly shorter in a V motor. As I spend a fair amount of time at the local import speed/mechanic shop, I see quite a few supra's having heat problems in that #6. The mechanics of a V motor lend itself to better tolerances - The cams aren't as long, the crank isn't as long, etc. No one minor detail will make one motor significantly better than the other. Basically, 3 liters is 3 liters. You can get 900 horsepower out of 3 liters with an eaton supercharger and fucking holley carbuerator if you want to. So everyone arguing over 2mm of bore here or longer/shorter cam is pretty moot.
